We are very proud to be involved in the development of American Nurses Association (ANA) and the International Nurses Society on Addictions (IntNSA) revision of Addictions Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice.
Specialty nursing organizations (SNOs) like IntNSA serve as custodians and stewards of their respective organization’s nursing scope and standards of practice. The ANA development/revision process includes posting a draft document for a four-week public comment period. The SNO (IntNSA) is responsible for preparing the specialty scope and standards document, obtaining approval by the board of directors, and integrating recommendations from the review period as warranted.
We are inviting IntNSA members and the general public to review this draft of the revised Scope and Standards document during the public comment period: Thursday, April 22, 2021 – Saturday, May 22, 2021.
