Marne Bilanich Is a Masters prepared nurse, having obtained her RN and MSN degrees from Clarion University in 2000 and 2009. She has been employed by the Veteran’s administration in Butler, PA for 20+ years. She is the nurse manager of a 56 bed residential rehabilitation program that houses Veterans who struggle with substance use disorder and mental health issues.
Ms. Bilanich received her CARN-AP several years ago and is a huge advocate for nurses being educated in addictions. She acts as a liaison for students in the local community college to obtain their addictions certificate and will precept their learning to help them achieve this certification.
Ms. Bilanich is a certified mentor for new and established nurse managers who are in need of assistance within their substance use disorder/mental health programs. She has mentored many nurses both inside and outside of the federal government and throughout the united states.
Ms. Bilanich has been a peer reviewer for the Journal of additions Nursing for many years and has reviewed over a dozen articles thus far.
Ms. Bilanich has attended IntNSA conference since 2008, brining nurse colleagues with her every year to network with industry subject matter experts and to be educated in the latest industry standards to best care for their patients.
