Description
Since the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent policy changes regulating the delivery of opioid use disorder treatment, many clinicians have embraced telehealth as a way to decrease barriers to engagement in care. This lecture will orient the audience to the use of telehealth for evidence-based opioid use disorder (OUD) treatment and aims to increase clinician comfort in providing OUD treatment in this way.
Objectives
Introduce low-barrier buprenorphine treatment approaches, including telehealth. Identify common barriers to receipt of OUD care with buprenporphine and review strategies to make care more accessible. Increase comfort with providing OUD treatment to patients via telehealth modalities.
