Dr. Martha Mozia is a Board Certified Child/Adolescent and Life Span Psychiatric NP, Geriatric NP, Family Practitioner NP, First Assist /Dermatology Nurse. Certificate in Alcohol/Drug Specialist and Fellow in Addiction Nursing. Currently in a Train-the-Trainer’s Fellowship Training in Pain and Primary Care Psychiatry 2019/2020 Cohorts.
She has a Bachelor in Nursing and Business Administration, Masters in Health Care Management, and post-bachelorette in Nursing FNP/GNP. She completed her Doctoral Studies in Obesity Medicine and post-doctoral PMHNP Fellow at the Brandman University, school of Nursing. Dr. Mozia completed post-doctoral in PMHNP from Brandman University and KySS Child-Adolescent Mental Health Fellowship Program at the Ohio State School of Nursing. Her education and training in nursing and medicine spans over several interests. These include – Family and Geriatric certificate from AANP, PMHNP-BC, MHS – RN-BC from ANCC, PHMS from PNCB, psychotherapist (Behavioral Activation for Depression) from credo-oxford university, Alcohol/Drug Specialist from CSULA, CBT-Trauma Focus, CBT- Anxiety and certified dermatology nurse from DNA.
Her current focus is integration of Behavioral Health in Primary Care, Behavioral Medical Home, and Integrated, holistic Behavioral Care of Complex patients. These interests allow her to practice as a true generalist and help further public and community health in general, and specifically, preventive and wellness health, chronic care model within a Medical Home Clinic Model.
Research Focus: Obesity prevention, management and nutritional health. Additionally, her project addressed skin laxity after massive weight loss and the consequence of self-image disturbance.
