Nancy Altman Scholarship
Application Process and Requirements
- Applicants must be a member of the IntNSA USA Chapter.
- Applicants must be currently employed in Addictions Nursing; not a full time student in a nursing undergraduate or graduate program.
- Applicants are required to submit a 250-500 word essay explaining their interest in attending the IntNSA conference and how the knowledge gained through conference attendance will benefit their (and/or others) education and/or practice.
- Applications must submit a letter of recommendation from a supervisor, coworker, faculty member, IntNSA member, or other person who can attest to the applicant’s interest and potential contributions in addictions nursing.
Cathy Buffington Scholarship
Application Process and Requirements
- Applicants must be a member of IntNSA.
- Applicants must be currently employed in Addictions Nursing; not a full time student in a nursing undergraduate or graduate program.

Lois Widly Scholarship
Application Process and Requirements
- Applicants must be full time student in a nursing undergraduate or graduate program.
- Applicants are required to submit a 250-500 word essay explaining why they are interested attending the conference and what they plan to do with the knowledge gained.
- Applicants must submit a Sponsorship Letter from a current IntNSA member. This letter must include: How long and in what capacity the sponsor has known the applicant; Rationale for the applicant to be chosen over other possible applicants for this scholarship; Estimation of the role this applicant will play in addictions nursing.
- Applicants must submit a second Letter of Recommendation from someone (a Professor, Dean, etc.) who can attest to the applicants academic and scholarly suitability for this award. This letter must include: How long and in what capacity the sponsor has known the applicant; Scholarly rationale for receiving the scholarship; Estimate of potential as a nurse leader when formal education is completed.
- Must submit a letter of recommendation from a supervisor, coworker, faculty member, IntNSA member, or other person who can attest to the applicant’s interest and potential contributions in addictions nursing.
