The use of regions rather than chapters makes sense. While each state may have particular needs, it is useful to have more members sharing information rather than have very small chapters by state.

Thank you to the USA board for your hard work on revisions to the bylaws.

    1. Does the current definition of nurse include nurses across all scopes including LPN's for regular membership eligibility?

    2. To simplify the definition of nurse for membership, is the following role description necessary to include. It seems prescriptive and is missing some nursing roles. I recommend removing it.

The nurse is prepared and authorized (1) to engage in the general scope of nursing practice, including the promotion of health, prevention of illness, and care of physically ill, mentally ill, and disabled people of all ages and in all health care and other community settings; (2) to engage in patient education; (3) to participate fully as a member of the health care team; (4) to supervise and train nursing and health care auxiliaries; and (5) to be involved in research.

Thank you for your comments. Members are join INTNSA and by joining the parent org, then automatically become members of INTNSA USA. All nurses in the USA who want to join INTNSA can. I believe the LPN's are eligible for regular membership.
The INTNSA definition of a "Nurse" was directly taken from the ICN if I recall correctly.
